Buhari sacks EFCC Chairman Ibrahim Lamorde

Ibrahim Lamorde has been removed as the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).


Lamorde had held that position since 2011. He is proceeding on terminal leave ahead of the formal expiration of his tenure in February next year.

He has been replaced with Ibrahim Magu, a top level official of the Economic and Governance Unit of the EFCC.
