BREAKING: 3 Storey Building Collapses In Lagos (Photos)

A 3 storey building has collapsed in Odunfa street, Lagos island.
According to Ibrahim Farinloye, the South-west spokesperson for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) many are feared to be trapped in the building as 4 persons have been rescued so far.
The building according to witness carved in at about 9:45am this morning after showing signs of stress. A witness who who spoke with our reporter said tenants of the ill-fated building have been telling the landlord about the building which according to them was constantly vibrating.

The landlord, it was learnt refuse to address the tenants complain before the building finally collapsed.

Okon Macaulay, the assistant controller of federal fire service told naij.com that four victims in critical condition have been rushed to undisclosed location.

At the moment of filing this report rescue work is ongoing as unspecific numbering of people are still trapped in the collapsed building. Another resident told naij.com that the collapsed building was already marked for demolition but the landlord has prevented the demolition.

Meanwhile, another building has collapsed in Osapa London, Agobi in Lekki, Eti-Osa local government area of the state.

According to vanguard, the building which is still under construction reportedly collapsed at about 8:40am with some of the workers trapped underneath.

Two other persons, were said to have been recovered unconscious by the emergency services, and were taken to the hospital.
