Obiageli Ezekwesili, the former Minister of Education in Nigeria under the Olusegun Obasanjo Regime refers to her former boss as being incorruptible.
Obiageli Ezekwesili, co-founder of the #BringBackOurGirlscampaign after the kidnap of chibok girls On the night of 14–15 April 2014 has refused to call her former boss, Olusegun Obasanjo ‘a corrupt leader’.
Young Nigeria cried out to show their displeasure on the interveiw and how disappionted they were.
During an outing on Aljazeera’s Head to Head Ezekwesili, popularly know as ‘Madam Due process’ had tried to dodge questions on Obasanjo and corruption.
Seun Kuti, the son of Afrobeat legend, Fela Kuti has taken a swipe at the former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili for trying to defend the former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo.
He took to his Instagram page few minutes ago to say:
Madam Oby. The question is ‘was obasanjo corrupt?’ Yes or no. Stop putting ur PHD to shame. The 16bn dollars electricity scam u were a part of na him hook ur throat abi?
While she responded very intelligently throughout the interview she however became evasive when she asked if the administration of her former boss, Olusegun Obasanjo was as corrupt as what many have described it to be.
”I really like empirical evidence..and right now you don’t have any. You just assumed”, Ezekwesili told the reporter.
‘Empirical evidence’ is currently trending on Twitter as Nigerians throw shades at Ezekwesili.
